WHAT CAN I EXPECT ON A SUNDAY MORNING?

OUR WORSHIP SERVICE IS AT 10:30AM ON SUNDAY MORNING.

Sunday morning is the most important time in our life together as a church. It is the one time each week when we all gather together to hear from God through the teaching of His word and to respond to Him in worship.

We love it when new people join us. We hope you will come and worship with us this Sunday and we want you to feel welcome. Here is a little information on what you can expect:

What Happens?

- Teaching

The centerpiece of Crossroads of Grace is solid teaching from the Bible. We not only believe that the Bible is the completely true and trustworthy Word of God, we also believe God gave it to us for the express purpose of shaping our thinking and our behavior. Therefore, we always dedicate time to hearing God’s word when we get together on Sundays. After a time of singing and prayer, a pastor reads from the Bible, explains what it means, and applies God’s truth to our lives.

- Worship

God has not only called us to learn from Him, but also to worship Him. We usually spend the first half of our worship service singing songs to God. At Crossroads of Grace we make every effort to ensure that our worship services are focused on God and worshiping Him.
The songs we sing are chosen to express our love to God and His love for us. We draw from a variety of traditions and try to select songs that are God-centered, theologically sound, and musically enjoyable.

We acknowledge that we can do nothing to make people worship; we can only remind them of our reason to worship, and then provide them the opportunity to do so.

​

- Prayer

At several points during the worship service someone will lead the congregation in prayer. These are times for all of us to speak to God by lifting our thoughts and hearts to Him.

- Giving

Each Sunday morning we give the members of our church an opportunity to give of their money as an act of worship to God. If you are a guest or are new to Crossroads of Grace, please just be our guest. Our weekly offering is for those who consider Crossroads of Grace their church home and want to contribute to the expenses of outreach, events, and daily maintenance of the church.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

We are a relaxed, comfortable, accepting group of friends and family. You will find people in business casual, in dresses, in pants, in jeans and t-shirts, etc. Come as you are, and we trust you will feel welcome.  Pastor Donnie always responds to those who ask him what the dress code at the church is with... "wear some".

 
WHAT ABOUT CHILDREN?

We know that Jesus loves children, and we love them too. We have classes for children from birth up through 5th Grade during the Sunday service.

Nursery age children, infant - 3yrs, are lovingly cared for in the nursery.

1st–5th Grade children learn about God by participating in the first half of the worship service with their parents. Then, before the sermon, they are dismissed to their classes for age specific teaching.
