Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 7:7–12
Life naturally pulls your attention toward tomorrow's challenges, but God often begins by reminding you of yesterday's victories. Samuel didn't build the stone before the battle. He built it afterward so future generations would never forget who won the victory.
When fear whispers about what might happen next, pause and remember what God has already done. Think about prayers He answered, doors He opened, protection you didn't even recognize at the time, and moments when He carried you through seasons you thought would break you.
Those memories become anchors when new storms arrive. Your confidence isn't based on your strength but on God's consistent faithfulness. The same God who helped you yesterday has not changed today. Before you ask Him for tomorrow's help, spend time thanking Him for yesterday's grace.
Gratitude strengthens faith because it reminds your heart that God's track record has always been perfect. His faithfulness deserves your remembrance every single day.
Application Question
Where have you forgotten God's faithfulness because you've become focused on your current challenge, and how can you intentionally remember His help today?
Think on this, and I'll see you back here tomorrow.... Pastor Donnie
