Day 4 - Thursday: Choose Freedom Over Bitterness

Scripture Reading: Genesis 50:15-21

Reflection:

Joseph experienced betrayal most people could hardly imagine. His own brothers sold him into slavery, false accusations landed him in prison, and years of waiting tested his faith. Yet when he finally stood before those who had wounded him, he chose forgiveness over bitterness.

He refused to let yesterday's pain determine tomorrow's future. Bitterness always promises protection, but it quietly becomes another prison. It keeps old wounds fresh and steals today's peace.

Forgiveness doesn't erase what happened or excuse wrong actions. Instead, it releases your heart from carrying a burden God never intended you to bear forever.

Like Joseph, you can trust that God is able to redeem what others meant for harm. His grace is greater than your deepest wounds.

Choosing forgiveness is often the first step toward getting completely over what you've been through. Freedom begins when you place justice back into God's faithful hands with confidence.
